Privacy policy

What we collect

When you create an account, we store your username, email address, and (if you choose to add one) your phone number for alert delivery via WhatsApp. When you post or apply to opportunities, we store the information you submit as part of that listing or application.

Cookies

We use a small amount of local storage to remember your dark/light mode preference and whether you have accepted or declined the cookie banner. If you accept, we also load:

• Analytics — aggregate, privacy-aware usage data (pages viewed, searches with no results, application-link clicks) to help us understand which opportunities and categories are useful and where our taxonomy is missing something.
• Advertising (Google AdSense) — third-party ads that help keep listing and browsing free for job seekers. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings.

If you decline the cookie banner, neither analytics nor ad scripts load, and only strictly necessary local storage (theme preference, your consent choice itself) is used.

Advertisements

Ads on Fursanest are always clearly labeled “Advertisement” and are visually separate from opportunity listings and application buttons. Ads never appear on pages restricted to signed-in accounts.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with the service providers needed to run the platform: our email provider (for notifications), our payment provider (for subscriptions and sponsorships), and WhatsApp's Business API (for opted-in alert delivery).

Your choices

You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing this site's local storage in your browser, update your alert preferences from your account settings, and request account deletion by contacting us.
